SUPPORT LOWER HAIGHT

Many neighbors and supporters of Lower Haight have been reaching out and inquiring about how they can help during this pandemic. If you’ve been asking yourself the same thing, then you’ve come to the right place!

At this moment everyone is being affected financially, physically, and mentally. The easiest way you can help us is by joining an initiative or contributing to the Lower Haight Merchants & Neighbors Association. Below are current ways we are using our funds to combat the virus…

  • We have created a Merchant Community Fund to put money directly into the pockets of businesses to help pay for rent, payroll, bills, or any other expense related to their store.

  • We have collaborated with Neighbors Helping Neighbors to work directly with Lower Haight residents to create a community of block captains who help neighbors grocery shop, connect them with city resources, or provide other means of assistance.

  • We’re also helping purchase art supplies and pay artists to paint murals on storefronts on behalf of merchants who’ve had to board their windows and doors up. This has prevented graffiti and promoted positivity through the Lower Haight.

We’re not done yet! We know this pandemic isn’t going to change overnight so we’re looking to the future and figuring out other ways to help. If you have an idea or want to help out in any way, please e-mail: LowerHaight415@gmail.com

The Lower Haight Merchants & Neighbors Association is a not-for-profit 501 (c)(6) and our board is made up folks who live, love, and work in Lower Haight. All monies collected are used to help to fund initiatives that support merchants, neighbors, and the beautiful neighborhood we call Lower Haight.

Sincerly,

LoHaMNA Board
