Job:
The Lower Haight Merchants & Neighbors Association are looking for a web designer to create a customized website using Wix. You’ll be working with the project lead to help finalize the wireframe and then completely build-out a website using a Wix template; including custom features.
Goal:
We are looking for a web designer with intermediate to expert experience building websites with Wix. The new website will be a community website that specifically highlights the Lower Haight district of San Francisco, local businesses, neighborhood initiatives, a blog, and acts as a cultural hub for locals and tourists. Web Designer Responsibilities:
- Help design & develop a Wix Website
- Build Wix Mobile Website
- Assist with wireframe build & UI
- Knowledge of SEO Basic Setup
- Organize content (there is a mix of both informative and social content)
- Developing prototype
- Developing a quick guide for board members to access and utilize basic functions of the website
Web Designer Requirements:
- Designer with UX experience preferred
- Experience using Wix a plus but not required
- Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Figma and design tools
- Proficiency in front-end development web programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript a plus
- Understanding of Mailchimp preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills
Payment:
- Flat fee

- Start immediately and complete within 1-2 months
